Editorial Reviews
Reviewer: Jay Jorgensen
Jay Jorgensen is an attorney and municipal court judge in New Jersey.
* Paul Lloyd Hemphill was awarded the Bronze Star and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry for his service during the Vietnam War and has exhibited a life-long passion for leadership. His new book relates to Gettysburg and leadership of which he states, "The right leadership lessons of Gettysburg are showcased here in ways that can help you achieve under pressure while exercising your own influences." *

Product Description:
The author forces history to shout its powerful lessons about our least understood ability - leadership. A pre-teen, a parent, or a corporate exec doesn't need to be trained for leadership because it's already alive and pumping in your DNA. The proof is all here. Here's the bonus feauture: it uses history as a motivational tool. Instead of stats and facts,, you get more than 200 life-lessons from Gettysburg to help you succeed in any endeavor. The author spent over 10 years writing thousands of radio and TV commercials under daily pressure to sell products and services quickly and convincingly. That same get-to-the-point style is brought to the writing of 88 short stories in this superbly written and open-to-any-page book.

News and a Message From Cindy

Hello Everyone! Hope you're looking forward to gourging on some turkey
this week. There are many exciting events happening, so I will be as
brief as possible with my update:

**Thank you to everyone who attended VOICES FROM CHORNOBYL at the
Empty Stage Theatre.
**The UK Conference of Chernobyl Charities asked me to speak at their
conference in March and explain how my adaptation of VOICES FROM
CHORNOBYL can raise money for the children they help. We hope to
present a Demo film of the play at this conference, along with
providing the materials needed for future fundraisers.

Voices From Chornobyl has been invited to perform in Washington D.C. &
New York this April to raise funds and awareness for the Chernobyl
Children's Project International.

The ultimate goal is to present the play around the world on the 25th
anniversary of the accident, April 26, 2009, and for all proceeds to
benefit Chernobyl charities. Information on how you can help is
forthcoming, and will also be available on our website at by mid-week. Reply with your mailing
address if you'd like a hard copy of the materials.

**needtheater hosted a reading of TEN, a play I wrote that we will be
workshopping in early 2008. With all the great feedback, I am
feverishly working on a second draft!

**Feb. 8th is the opening night for JOURNALIST FOR A YEAR by Kitty
Felde, which I am directing as part of Towne Street Theatre's 2nd
annual 10-minute play festival.

**Syzygy Theatre Group's fantastic 5th Annual Casino Night is Feb.
1st, 2008! It's always a great time, a chance to wear that cocktail
dress hanging in your closet, and support the arts. Check out for more details

I currently teach playwriting and acting for FREE in schools, through
a non profit called Safe Moves. The program takes middle and high
school students through the process of creating and performing their
own production about DUI and peer pressure to drink alcohol. It is
fully funded through the City of L.A. See updates on the incredible
experiences I have at my blog (address below)

Happy Turkey Day!
